ABOUT US
Basadi Ba Kopane (Women Uniting in Action) is a network women aiming at positioning both themselves (women in general) and broader society for economic participation and driving of industries. Every woman associating themselves with this network are driven by one objective of striving to work hard, using our own resources, our skills, expertise and God-given talents to uplift each other and grow our country’s economy.
Basadi Ba Kopane (BBK) is a program within a company for no profit, Grooming The Executive NPC. Founded with the aim of achieving economic inclusion of the historically marginalised, BBK’s primary focus is to achieve advancement of women where business opportunities are concerned. Ensure that women are the key drivers of the economic emancipation of the country and the continent. It explores mutually beneficial opportunities in business, community development and personal growth across communities.
Though started in South Africa, by South African women, the aim is to ultimately spreading across the continent and unite women who share similar and aligned outlook. This network embraces all women irrespective of colour, religion and cultural background for as long as they subscribe to the objective of holding each other’s hand and take advantage of opportunities – as and when they arise especially, in sectors and areas that are still male dominated.
BBK is open to a limited number of memberships. This is achieved through clubs in each Province, across the country. Each province has one club consisting of up to One Thousand (1 000) members at an annual membership fee of One Thousand Rand (R 1 000.00)
Workshops – Knowledge Sharing and Personal Grooming:
An Empowered woman is most likely to extend their acquired knowledge to benefit more than themselves. She is most likely to invest in her children (at the least). This in turn leads to empowered community with brighter future, better health and broader economic prospects.
Quarterly workshops where experts in various fields enlighten women, to be better prepared for life challenges as well as opportunities that may come their way.
- Investment Opportunities:
It is an undisputable knowledge that as and when a woman gains access to financial services, the benefit there-of usually extends beyond herself as an individual.
As and when compelling opportunities are discovered, the network ensures that women are among the first to learn about them and gain the “first mover advantage” in accessing and spearheading participation.
Group investment opportunities are also secured and presented, to ensure that there is risk sharing and dilution, but more importantly ensuring that women grow and progress together.
The ripple effect of an economically empowered woman drives systemic change, achieves gender equality and more importantly assists in eradicating hunger and eventually poverty.
Grooming The Executive BBK aims to contribute to this change and ensure a better inclusive nation.
Travel widens the scope and empowers one to discover even more than their environment can offer. Both business and leisure travel (ideally linked to business opportunities) are secured and undertaken together.
This affords women an opportunity to develop a “oneness” where matters of economic growth are concern. To learn from each other beyond the boundaries society has created.
- Community and Family building:
Women are anchors of many communities. Every initiative that is of community building, learned from other communities (including other nations) is presented to members, with the believe that it would improve their current situation or that of their communities at large.
